Description: Up for sale is a rare Colorado mini jug, the "Compliments of the Keystone Grocery, Colorado Springs" from Colorado Springs, Colorado. The mini jug measures approx. 3 and 1/8 inches. The Keystone Mercantile company was located n 112 South Tejon Street, Colorado Springs, Co and dates from 1903 to 1907. The mini jug is in great condition, with the only blemishes I'm aware of occurring during the mini jugs creation are shown in the pictures. If you have any questions, please let me know. Colorado Springs was founded in approx. 1869 by General William Palmer as a resort town linked by the Denver and Rio Grand railroad and in the 1890's, the area became the "City of Millionairs" during the gold boom in the Cripple Creek, Victor and other gold strikes in the area.
