Description: This is a rare April 13th, 1942 broadside (single page playbill) from the Post-Broadway engagement of the COLE PORTER musical comedy "PANAMA HATTIE" at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The production opened October 30th, 1940 at the Forty-Sixth Street Theatre in New York City and ran for 501 performances before going on the road.) ..... The musical starred FRANCES WILLIAMS as "Hattie Maloney" (the role originated on Broadway by ETHEL MERMAN), ARTHUR TREACHER and JAMES DUNN and featured ANN BARRETT, JANE STERLING, RED MARSHALL, LORNA LYNN, PAT HARRINGTON, CARMEN D'ANTONIO, VERA ELLEN, AL DOWNING and SAMMY WHITE .....
