Description: This festive divided dish is a vintage piece from the Clay Art Company of San Francisco. It features a red chili pepper and yellow chili pepper side by side. The piece is detailed with green stems and finished with a dark “char” outline. It’s a delightful tabletop piece, and makes a lovely presentation for sauces, salsa, guacamole, garnishes, side dishes, nuts, hors d'oeuvres and other snacks. The bright colors also make this an interesting trinket dish, key caddy, or great display piece on its own. Measurements: Length: 8.5" / Width: 5.75" / Height: 1.5" Condition: this piece is in superb vintage condition! There are very faint signs of use on the bottom, otherwise, the piece is like new. The bottom is clearly marked with ClayArt’s “C.A.” marking. About Clay Art Company of San Francisco: The Clay Art Company began in 1979 when Michael Zanfagna and Jenny McClain (teachers at Mission High School in San Francisco) decided to build a business of affordable art. (Their first product was a ceramic hand painted cherub's bottom fanny hook.) Soon the company expanded into making whimsical Salt & Pepper Shakers (favorites among avid collectors). In the late 1990s the company also began producing Licensed Cookie Jars. Their characters included Batman, Marilyn Monroe, Babe Ruth, James Dean, Superman and The Three Stooges. They also began creating a line of Decorative Ceramic Masks (another popular collectors’ item). In 2007 Clay Art expanded into unique dinnerware collections and serving pieces, and in 2009 was acquired by Formation Brands. They now create their collections on an individual basis for large retailers and upscale department stores. ----------------------------------------------------- C.A.,Clay Art,San Francisco,Chili Peppers,Salsa Dish,Divided Appetizer Dishes,Serving,Red and Yellow,Hot Peppers,Mexican food,Trinket,Jewelry Dish,Condiment,Sauce,California Pottery,USA Pottery,Ring,Entertaining,Relish,Condiment, fiesta
