Description: These are the type of speakers that will go with the Project G3 T13 and other table model Clairtone stereo systems. Clairtone made modern stereo systems here in Canada in the late 1960s, and these have become very iconic design objects. These speakers are made in heavy wood composite with perforated metal grills. The stands are particleboard discs covered over with aluminum. There is a metal pedestal between disc and globe, also finished in aluminum. The larger rectangular opening on each sphere is for the woofer and should face the wall, while the smaller opening is for the tweeter and should face the listening area. As you can see, there is damage to the metal grill and tweeter on one of them (the one with grey speaker wire). Repairing this will require opening the speaker as there is damage to the paper cone inside. The other sphere (with brown speaker wire) has been put down too hard at some point and the aluminum stand needs to be reshaped. The latter is a relatively easy fix. Unfortunately I do not have the G3 T13 stereo that goes with these speakers. Local pick up only in Dundas, Ontario, Canada. Please see my other auctions.
