Description: Up for sale is a nice vintage CLAed (Cleaned/Lubed/Adjusted) example of the Old Delft Alpa Alefar 180mm f/4.5 lens. This full-manual mid-length telepoto lens, made in the Netherlands by Dutch lens maker Old Delft for the incomparable Alpa Reflex and Alnea lines of Swiss 35mm SLR cameras, this lens produces fabulous images with unique rendering, making it essential for anyone with an Alpa kit, as well as an interesting option for those looking to adapt it to other systems. Lens is in nice vintage condition with moderate exterior wear, (lt corrosion, tooling marks from previous service, half of the Extensan Alnea decorative name strip at the bottom is missing), and excellent condition optics with minor faint cleaning marks in the coatings only and free of glass scratches/haze/fungus. Additionally, this lens has been disassembled and fully CLAed, with dust blowout, cleaning/reoil of the aperture, and full cleaning, relap, and relube of focus helical with modern molybdenum-containing grease. This is particularly important on lenses like this that use the Extensan focus module, since, oddly for lenses of this caliber, ti uses an aluminum-on-aluminum rather than brass-on-aluminum design that is extremely prone to grittiness, difficulty to turn, and even complete binding on unserviced examples. Servicing the focus module in this way significantly improves the feel of this lens, returning it much closer to a like-new experience. Includes oriinal snap-on hood and caps b275
