Description: Drake Alteration Socket Bayonet for the Model 1841 Mississippi Rifle. Marked "G . 69", no other markings. It is straight, no rust, a few edge nicks, and has small light age spots scattered throughout. Locking ring is intact and functional with correct rounded screw. Length of the blade measures 19 3/4" (3/4" wide x 1/2" thick) and the bayonet is 22 3/4". Socket length is 2 15/16". The muzzle hole is 7/8". Less than 2000 were made. Check out my other War items!!
