Description: DATING TO THE 1860’S FASHIONED OF A BROWN SILK TAFFETA AND IS SEWN BY BOTH MACHINE AND HAND. HAND PUNCHED RUFFLES TRIM AROUND THE TOP, AROUND THE TOP OF THE SLEEVES, AND ON THE CUFFS WITH SILK COVERED BUTTONS HAVING A SATIN CORD CROSS PATTERN CLOSE THE FRONT. FULLY LINED IN POLISHED COTTON WITH A FAN OF BONING ON THE FRONT CENTER BOTTOM WITH A STOMACH PANEL ON THE INTERIOR THAT CLOSES WITH HAND HAMMERED BRASS HOOK AND EYES. CONDITION: A SMALL DARKENING OF UNDERARM COLOR SEEN BENEATH THE ARMS. ONE OF THE PUNCHED RUFFLES ON THE CUFF NEEDS REATTACHMENT WITH SIX INCHES OF THE BOTTOM RUFFLE ON THE REAR NEEDING REATTACHMENT AND TWO INCHES OF THE TOP RUFFLE. ONE BUTTON IS MISSING AND I PERSONALLY WOULD REMOVE ONE OF THE BUTTONS ATOP THE RUFFLING TO REPLACE, NONE THE WISER. SIDE SEAMS WERE TAKEN IN AT ONE POINT AND AGAIN LET OUT.
