Description: An early mounted photograph of what might be a military camp or possibly a work camp of some kind. There is no ID, but from the surrounding land, we are guessing that the location is almost certainly west of the Mississippi River. We've examined the photo under magnification and can find no people or vehicles. There are rows and rows of what look be concrete, or similar material, hollow cylinders. Maybe drainage or water pipes? We are tentatively dating the photo to circa 1900. An interesting research project, possibly. The image measures a fraction of an inch under 5 1/2" by slightly less than 3 1/4"; the mount measures 7" x 4 3/4". The photo and mount are not perfect. Please review the preceding condition description box and photo gallery. The photo will be shipped well protected. We combine shipping.
