Volumes (except Vol. 4) are marked with former owner's name and gift inscriptions, in ink and pencil, to front fly; otherwise all appear unmarked within, no underlining, margin notes, or other markings noted within text blocks. Moderate shelf wear and signs of use / handling, corners of all somewhat bumped. Bindings very sound and square, though Vol. 2 is starting at gutter page 82/3 (see photos). Text blocks are complete, clean, legible, and largely undiminished. Burgundy boards and spines of all volumes remain vibrant and bright, all gilt titles quite fine to spines.
