Description: new spinner Vintage Prewar Schwinn Mens Bike Chrome Tubular 1" Threaded Cruiser Fork with Headset This is a New Chrome Tubular Fork & Chrome Headset with a Cool Look and Performance for use with Prewar Schwinn Mens Bikes with a 5" Head. The Fork is Quality Chrome Steel, has 1 1/8" tubular Fork Blades, accepts a 100mm wide front hub, takes a 7/8" or 22.22mm Diameter quill stem, and has enough clearance for Fat 26" x 3.0" Monster Size Cruiser Tires. This Fork is a Custom Prewar Version for Prewar Schwinn Bikes with a 5" Head tube ( That's the head tube measurement without cups ) So thats Typically Most Prewar Mens Bikes before 1941. Will Not work with some 1940 and 1941 Prewar mens bikes that have the 5 1/2" Head tube which is the Postwar Standard, for those I would order our postwar version. Fork Does Not work with Prewar Ladies Schwinn Bikes that have different head tube sizes. Fork comes with a Chrome 1 " Threaded headset with 32.5mm cups ( 32.5" Fits Schwinn and CWC Bikes ), we Strongly Suggest you use use the Headset Provided for Seamless Fit and Performance. The 27mm Crown Race is installed on the fork for your convenience, The Crown Race provided does not work well with Schwinn Flat Type Bearings, Which is why we recommend the headset supplied. In rare cases some old bikes may of seen too much excessive use and the head tube is stretched, making the cups a loose fit, in that event a shim may be needed for a tight fit. Fork and Headset will also fit Prewar CWC Bikes with a 5" Head tube and post war CWC with a 5 1/8" Headtube.
