Description: Christopfle Silverplate Ladle Has two makers marks inside bowl near lip. The first is a "CHRISTOFLE" mark inside a a rectangle with no curved corners. The second is a scale with a C on each side (Charles Cristofle) and what appears to be a flower at bottom. The mark is inside a oval and the oval inside a rectangle From my limited research I see that this mark was used from 1862 to 1935 when it was changed from CC to OC. Ladle is almost 14" with a 3 7/8" diameter bowl. Weighs 9.5 ounces on my not for trade postal scale. I was not able to find out much information about this pattern. The large replacement company calls this pattern "CFT18" and I was able to find another seller calling this "Cuillere a Ragout" and they further described it as a Japanese pattern.
