Description: Sometimes the best part of going toan estate sale is finding a piece of history. This is a beautiful example of Chinese symbolism. It is a hand painted porcelain bowl with the circular picture design showing daily family life. The layered paint makes the colors vibrant and when you run your finger across the pictures you can feel the texture and can just imagine how much time and pride it took to do this piece. The gold gilding just adds that extra touch of beauty. Because of its age do not expect it to be in perfect condition, but this piece is very nice. The pictures do not do it justice. I did some research on the Qianlong 6 character red mark and found it to be from the 1912-1949 period Chinese reproduction. I am definitely not claiming to be an expert, so please research it yourself. It is approximately 10" wide, 4-3/4 tall and weighs about 3 lbs. 10 oz. It is a nice heavy bowl. If you have any questions, please contact me prior to purchase. If you want additional pictures, I will do that too. My goal is to always make purchases as easy and pleasant as possible. Thank you for looking at this remarkable bowl.
