Description: Tango 4 is the third studio album by Charly García together with the Argentine musician Pedro Aznar. Recorded between January and September 1991 by Pedro Aznar at Overtone Studios. In 1991 García - 39 years old at the time - was hospitalized for the first time for his addiction problems. However, the musician had to fulfill his contract to record another album. García's way of doing therapy was to summon Pedro Aznar -31 years old at that time-, prodigy bassist of Serú Girán. From that meeting came the third Tango album, the duo that they formed and that had already made an album in 1985.This album was actually going to be a musical trio with Gustavo Cerati, from Soda Stereo. In 1988 Cerati received a call from Charly García, proposing to record a duo album. The album was to be called "Tango 3" (since Radio Pinti would be considered as Aznar and García's "Tango 2"), but due to Cerati's commitments with Soda Stereo, added to the dizzying pace of work on the album, never this union was finalized.Tango 4 came out with a lot of publicity, was a bestseller and had no official live performance.
