(I don't think the person who was asked to review this book even attempted to read it once he read the four page publisher's document.) This book was written two years after homosexuality was removed from the list of "medical disorders" and this author is having none of it. The author has very strong opinions on: 1- Homosexuality2- The "transsexual" community3- Feminism4- Pornography5- Communal living and Group Sex6- What is the Future of Sex? Narcotics and electrodes eliminating sex "By the year 2000, people will be able to wear chest consoles with tin levers wired to the brain's pleasure centers." The book still is an interesting read. He addresses the "public confusion" regarding transgender, transsexual and even homosexuality. Apparently, back in 1975 the advances for surgical sexual transformation were not very advanced at all. I am personally not on board with about 90 percent of his beliefs, but he still addresses subjects with a viewpoint that I previously had trouble giving any credence to. While I still disagree with him, he provides more information on certain subjects than you can typically find, even now, as expressing a desire to understand the how's and why's of certain subjects can immediately have you labeled as intolerant when it is simply ignorant. So, basically this book was written by an angry guy who is not willing to accept change, and appears to have viewed Sigmund Freud as the unquestionable master of the universe.
