Description: Charcoal female figure drawing was done by Lewis Daniel done in his W. 56th St. Manhattan studio in 1946 or 1947. Signed with his initials LD. My mother took figure drawing classes with him and got a couple of newsprint drawings from him. This is 15 1/2” x 20” and is unframed. Lewis Daniel (1901-1952) was a New York born artist known for his interest in the American spirit. He was known as a printer, painter, and illustrator. I no longer have room for this lovely drawing and want someone to have it who will enjoy it. There is a second male nude that I will put in a separate listing. I am happy to sell one or both.
