It was originally Black Coated Hardware on top of the 24k Gold. Due to time and age the dark coating has started to come off. The caviar leather is in good preowned vintage condition. Normal wear consistent with age. It was well kept. Slight wear to shape. The front portion has an envelope design to the pocket that features the Black / Gold Hardware CC hardware closure. Two open pockets on either side, one centered zipper pocket. ( Please see all photos ) * Zipper : All zippers run smoothly * Hardware : All hardware is firmly attached. The exterior is in good condition with normal leather scatches, imperfections, and wear. The hardware detailing has scratches and the black coating is coming off. However, the front CC is still has dark appearance depending on light. The chain would have to be replated same with the CC for the black on black look like the So Black line. There is a small stain near zip line. The interior is relatively clean and has a noticed pre-owned odor. The bottom purse studs have minor wear and discoloration. The CHANEL hangtag in good condition. The chain has discoloration where the dark plating has come off. See pictures for wear. It's a very unusual and beautiful piece! * Note: CHANEL does not restore vintage bags. It must be sent to a third-party professional for repair or restorations. Rago Brothers Leather repair in NJ is the only one that can do it. They have a jeweler that can recoat the black gold dark finish. It's going to run $400. They typically only do the yellow gold replating. Because it's a black coating, it takes a specialist. I'll leave this up to the buyer if they want to spend the money to replate in the black.
