Description: I have always liked the Cathy Daniels line, but retail prices could be pretty pricey if not on sale. This piece is quite lovely and great for this time of year. It is a tight-knit cardigan with seven black buttons inside a black vertical knitted binding. The cardigan is collarless, crew neck style, and an inch wide knitted black accent band creates a look of a collar. It then runs down the front center and travels the circumference of the sweater creating a very polished look, The body of the sweater is beautiful with a pattern of climbing plants, beige in color, starting at the hemline to the shoulders and repeated on the backside. Metallic thread is used to create an atmosphere of sparkles among the leaves.Oh, forgot to mention that the sweater has shoulder pads. You either love them or hate them. I had just finished college in the early seventies, landed my first job, and had to dress up. I purchased, over a period of time, several good suits and many had the shoulder pads. I loved them. Made me feel more dressed up. But if you are not a fan, you can easily remove them. They are velcro-attached.
