DESCRIPTION: PRODUCTION: A production of only 1,000 Serial Numbered Bobby Allison Knives were made in 1988 to celebrate & honor Bobby Allison, the oldest driver to win the Daytona 500. MARKINGS: The Master Clip Blade is stamped “CASE XX”, “SS” (lighting SS) and “USA” with 2 Dots dating this as a 1988 production Case Knife. One (1) Dot before the lighting SS and One (1) Dot following the lighting SS. The Spey Blade tang is stamped “R6254 SS”, which is the pattern number. Both blades are deeply etched in color and commemorate BOBBY ALLISON. The Master Clip Blade features Bobby Allison’s Signature in gold and the famous Checkered Flags. The Spey Blade has a likeness of Allison’s #12 Race Car in gold. The Nickle Silver Bolster is serial Numbered “0875”. SHIELD: Oval Shield is Hallmarked “CASE XX” with raise letters and long tail C. YEAR: Made in 1988. Two (2) Dots on tang. One (1) Dot before the SS and One (1) Dot following the SS. This Case Knife is 34 years old and in perfect condition. MODEL: Trapper two (2) Blade Model Knife. Model Number R6254 SS. SIZE: Closed 4 1/8 inches (4 1/8”) in length. The Master Clip Blade is 3 3/8 inches (3 3/8”) in length. The Spey Blade is 3 3/8 inches (3 3/8”) in length. HANDLE: Genuine Red Cattle Bone Handles. Excellent condition, without any problems. No breaks, cracks or chip. Nickle Silver Oval Shield is raised letters "CASE" with long tail C. The Nickle Silver Bolster is Serial Numbered “0875”. BLADES: Two (2) Blade Folding Hunter Knife. This Master Clip Point Blade tang is stamped - hallmarked "CASE XX", "SS" (lighting SS), and "USA" below the lighting SS. Has 2 Dots dating this as a 1988 produced Case knife. The Spey Blade tang is stamped - hallmarked "R6254” with “SS" under the model number. The Master Clip Blade features Bobby Allison’s Signature in gold and the famous Checkered Flags in Black & Stainless. The Spey Blade has a likeness of Allison’s #12 Race Car in gold. PRESENTATION CASE: Original Factory Custom Fitted Hard Presentation Display Case. The top of Custom Display has imprinted in gold letters “W.R. Case & Sons Collectors Series by Case XX”. The interior of the presentation case has a Gray Velveteen platform fitted indention for the Bobby Allison Case Knife. Also there is a small brass plaque with a picture of Bobby Allison stating “BOBBY ALLISON 1988 DAYTON 500 WINNER”. The inside lid top is white satin with an image in gold of Bobby Allison’s winning race car number 12. See pictures.
