Description: Canon AE-1 Program Film SLR w/ FD 50mm f/1.8 Lens. Tested Good. 135 - 062 A good working Canon AE-1 P. The camera is in good shape and clean, with a few caveats:1) Battery compartment access door has a crack (but is functional.)2) Dent/scrape in filter ring. Filters go on and off easily, but a bit scratchy.3) The lens has light haze in the front elements.4) The shutter has the AE-1 squeak, and the mirror may be a little slow returning.5) Dent in top housing by rewind knob. Otherwise, a good camera and lens set. Viewfinder is clear (a few spots, lower right corner.) The sample snapshots were taken today in moderate overcast. Pairs were shot at f/1.8 and f/5.6. Includes a currently working battery, front lens cap, and a so-so UV filter. Also includes a Sunpak Auto 144D flash unit (not shown in photos.) Thanks for looking. Note on testing of old cameras: When I've marked the subject line with "Tested" it means I've done the following. I install a good battery and film. I check all the functions I can find to see if they appear to be working. If not, I mention it in the description. On cameras selling for less than $200 (which means almost all the film cameras) I do not process the film. It is there to check the film advance and rewind functions. For light meters, I check to see if needles move or LEDs light up. I check to see if changing ASA, f-stop, shutter speed, and compensation settings appear to make appropriate changes in the reading. I do NOT check to confirm the readings are close to correct. If they are obviously way off, I will mention that. I don't assess the condition of light seals or mirror bumpers. I will make general comments about the viewfinder, screen and mirror. I check the appearance of shutter curtains and run all the available shutter speeds. I check the film counter action, the self-timer, and the PC and shoe flash connections. The text description and pictures go together... if there's a ding that I don't mention in the text, but it is obvious in a photo, I consider that covered.
