This is a soft cover book & is in very nice pre-owned condition. The pages are crisp, the binding is still tight & shows only slight shelf wear. I've scanned through the book & there are some margin notes. Apparently there is a series of these books that accompanied a PBS television presentation. The family tells me that after Grampa Jack retired from his medical practice that he went to the California Culinary Academy to get credentialed as a "master chef" for his retirement dream of having a B&B.
