There is a painting, dated to 1789, that hung in the Louvre Museum in Paris, France showing a 4-year-old, future King Louis XVII dangling a Yo-Yo at his side. The French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) was known to carry a l'emigrette (yo-yo) and encouraged his soldiers to do the same because he thought it was a great stress reliever. On his monthly Facebook show Doc Lucky’s Yo-Yo Talk, Episode 66 (02/03/23) said of the new Cajun Spinner’s Yeaux-Yeaux: “A beautiful line of fixed axle yo-yos, and I will tell you these look like they’re going to be highly collectible in the future.” And Lucky said of the Midnight Lightning Yeaux-Yeaux, “They were gorgeous. I think those yo-yos are fantastic. They are all very displayable yo-yos and that adds kind of the third ‘Lightning’ now that people need to add (to their collection) if they are going to have all three of the ‘Lightnings’.” The other two he was referring to were the 1950’s Duncan Litening, and the 1990’s Franklin Mint Duncan Litening reproduction.
