Description: This is a fantastic c1840 American birdseye maple corner block frame. Well figured, veneered tiger maple molding with raised birdseye maple corner blocks over a poplar base. The frame is in excellent condition and measures 14 3/4 x 16 3/4 with a 12 1/8 x 14 1/8 rabbet. Solid through tenon lap joint construction with a period brass loop hanger.
