It is from a circa 1840 edition of Dr. Samuel Butler's Atlas of Modern Geography, (London: Longman & Co., circa 1840). It is drawn and engraved by Sydney Hall whose name appears in the bottom right margin. The publisher's address is in the bottom center. A copy of the title page is included for authenticity. It is not matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown in the main pic. Overall, it has a rich patina with an aged quality. Size: The map image measures approximately 7 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches (19x24cm) on a 8 1/2 by 11" page (22x28cm) with a margin all around for framing. Condition: The map is in Fair condition with overall tonal aging and original hand color as issued and a centerfold as issued, printed on heavy paper and blank on the reverse, except for some scribbling. There is general wear and handling, bent corners, smudges, stains at the ends of the fold, see the pic for more on condition. Pics are of the actual map.
