Description: For your consideration is this Glass Paperweight, Bust of Mike J. Owens. These were pressed by the A. H. Heisey Glass Co. of Newark, Ohio. These were made to commemorate the life of the Mike Owens. who founded the Owens Bottle Company of Toledo, Ohio in 1903. The firm developed the Owens Automatic Bottle Machine, the first automated bottle-making machine. This bust has a nice smooth frosted finish. The bottom front panel reads: 1859 M. J. Owens 1923 No cracks or repairs, there are 2 flea size chips, 1 on the bottom panel just below his right shoulder and the other on the back of the head - see last two pictures. Condition is as seen in photos.
