Description: Budgie was one of the most iconic and underrated Prog/Metal bands of all time and that's why I'm listing several of their LP's for sale and most are in Excellent condition. This rare original LP is called If I Were Brittania I'd Waive the Rules and is Budgie's sixth album, released in 1976. This album is the band's first new release with A&M Records, having signed with them in late 1975 to distribute the US pressings of Bandolier. Musically, the band's usual hard rock style is augmented on this album with funk elements in two songs, and progressive rock in two others. The title is a pun on the concept of Britannia ruling the waves. Professor Irene Morra of Cardiff University wrote that Budgie used this title to "declare an essential lack of agency within Britain" which helped portray a countercultural identity, lacking in national ambition. This album features great songs like "Anne Neggen", "Quacktor and Bureaucats", "Sky High Percentage" , "Black Velvet Stallion" and the title track "If I Were Brittania I'd Waive the Rules" ! The Cover is in Excellent condition(see pictures), The vinyl is in Excellent condition on one side and Very Good Plus condition on the other side(few tiny light scratches), Sounds Great! Check out all my other very cool & rare Budgie vinyl that I have listed now!
