Description: Originally bred by local traveler communities in the United Kingdom, Gypsy Vanner horses are not only beautiful, but also useful. They stand out most notably by their color, personality and abundant hair. When serving as a mode of transportation, the Gypsy Vanners needed to be strong enough to pull large wagons in caravans but kind enough around the family’s children. They can be seen in a variety of colors and patterns including piebald (black and white tobiano), skewbald (combinations of brown, red and white) and blagdon (solid color with white splashed up from underneath). Although, most Gypsy Vanners typically have heavy feathering on their legs with lush manes and tails. Gypsy Vanners were originally imported to the United States in 1996 and have since grown in popularity for driving, riding mount, trail riding and shows. Style Number: 1497
