Description: Offered for immediate purchase . . . . . . is a packet containing five (5) pairs of ~ Natural Red & White Brachiopod frenulina Shells ~ measuring approximately three-eighths of an inch (3/8") across. Beautifully patterned shells that can be used as-is, or separated into single valves to create flower petals, as shown in the photo attached. Similar to the shells in the photo, the 5 pairs have been matched as closely as possible in size. (The sample flower is shown as an example only and is not included in the auction.) The valves are easy to separate; however, it's a little scary at first, as the hinge inside the shell needs to be gently broken apart, which makes a crunching sound. What striking colorful accents these would make in Sailor's Valentines, or in all your shell art projects and designs!
