The design for this pie bird was inspired by Bobby Fields. I thought the red and blue Eagle looked really nice together so I added the extra photo so you can see for yourself ~ this auction is for the RED eagle. It is marked with the Diamond B on the front and is made of ceramic, not glass. Boyd Glass started making pie birds in 1998 and began with Debbie the Duck (named after their daughter). They were not made at the Boyd factory; they were made offsite by another company. The Boyd Factory and showroom closed in 2014; they enjoyed over 36 years of successful glass making.
