Description: Came from a local estate. When I first acquired this lantern it was painted silver, it looked in pretty good condition so I decided to strip the paint off and found out it was a brass top and the lid was in pretty good shape. So I cleaned up the top and I really don't have the time to do the rest so I'll leave that up to the new owner. You will need to strip the underside of the lid, cage and pot holder of silver paint. Everything on the frame is straight as an arrow. No cracks in the globe. You will need a twist off pot to complete the lantern. The original lid catch is still there but will need to be resoldered. The extended base globe is nice with a few no show rim chips. This is a short lived line from the late 1880's and early 1890's so your not going to find many of these around. With a little work this would be a great center piece in any eastern lantern collection. Always buying Colorado line lanterns, lock etc. Colo Mid RR, DSP&PRR, F&CCRR, UPD&G, C&SRR, D&RGRR ETC.
