Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR (1958). Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian SSR (1968). Timofey Andreevich Lyashchuk was born in the village of Obolon, Poltava region. In 1946 he entered the T. G. Shevchenko Kyiv secondary school, where he studied with E. N. Yablonskaya and E. V. Volobuev. Studied at the Kiev State Art Institute under V. I. Kasiyan, S. N. Erzhikovsky, A. I. Sirotenko (1951–1957). Lived in Kyiv. Participant of republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions (since 1957). In 1959-1972, T. A. Lyashchuk was the editor-in-chief of the editorial board of the creative and production association "Agitplakat" of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. He headed the workshop of poster art at the Kiev State Art Institute (1964–1994). He was engaged in easel painting and graphics, created a series of watercolors and drawings "Report from Komsomolsk-on-Dnepr" (1962) and others. He worked in the field of socio-political posters, advertising film posters ("The Scarlet Flower", 1978, etc.). It was the poster, with its conciseness and expressiveness, that brought Lyashchuk fame and recognition, victories in numerous competitions.
