Once the mount is bolted onto the fork arch, the fender can be detached in seconds by hand. This is extremely useful if, for example, you're hitting that local jumpline and don't need a mudguard at all, or want to swap in a new color. The next time you're riding in sloppy conditions, simply pop that fender back onto the mount - again without any tools, extra zip ties, or hardware. 2. In case of damage, separately available fenders and mounts can be purchased to replace that component without having to replace the entire mudguard, unlike other bolt-on mudguards. Each BOQS component is FDM manufactured (“3D printed”) with materials and processes that are optimized for their function:The mount is made of glass-filled Nylon which is ideal for stiffness and strength, whereas the fender features a thin layer of PETG sandwiched between outer layers of TPU, creating just enough flexibility to attach and detach while remaining stiff and highly durable when curved into position.
