The weight racks hold 3 sets of weights - the openings are approximately 1.5" wide and 2" deep. The weight racks are removable. We find most people can assemble their Booty Kicker in about 30 minutes, after watching our easy assembly video. After the unit is assembled, then it easily folds up or down in less than a minute, and you can conveniently store it in a closet or slide it under your bed.
