MINT (M) Absolutely perfect in every way; a designation that is rarely, if ever, used.NEAR MINT (NM) The highest grade for opened records. Extraordinarily clean and quiet. Record is like new, shiny (high gloss) with no visible defects. If played, it will do so with no surface noise.VERY GOOD ++ (VG++) Record is in excellent condition; exhibits original high gloss, may show some slight signs of wear including a couple of light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience.VERY GOOD + (VG+) As above, but may show slightly increased signs of wear while maintaining a clean, shiny appearance. Does exhibit a few light visual marks from play and may show minor signs of handling such as light spindle marks. May have occasional, unobtrusive light surface noise.VERY GOOD (VG) Many of the imperfections found on a VG+ record are more obvious on a VG record.
