I make these up continually fresh and dry them in the sun. They hold up in snow and wet weather also! Each (recycled) carton contains a dozen eggs and each have their own jute hanger. You can also specify if you want plain jute or colored jute/cotton cord. Everything including the packaging is zero waste, biodegradable and environmentally friendly. The birds will also use the jute string for nesting material in the spring. I also add all natural cayenne pepper which helps repel squirrels, but doesn't bother the birds! 12 birdseed eggs = @ 1 1/2 pounds solid weight. Available in: * Millet and Sunflower mix - White millet, black oil and striped sunflower, cracked corn, sunflower chips, safflower seed. Attracts Cardinals, Titmice, Juncos, Grosbeaks, Sparrows, Chickadees, Finches, Nuthatches, Siskins, Woodpeckers as well as other seed eating birds. * Shelled Sunflower and nuts (no waste) Sunflower hearts, peanuts, Pistachios, hulled pumpkin seed. Will attract Songbirds, Nuthatches, Cardinals, Grosbeaks, Finches, Jays, Woodpeckers as well as other seed loving birds. * Safflower Seed - Attracts Grosbeaks, Chickadees, Doves, Sparrows & Cardinals (Squirrels to not particularly like this seed) * Mixed Set - 4 of each of the listed seed eggs. * Custom mix - just let me know how you want the dozen eggs mixed up. The seed is bound with plain food gelatin, sun dried and hand pressed into a mold. The jute hanger also makes it easy to just loop over a branch and twist to secure.
