Description: WILLIAM HENRY "BILLY" ELLIOTT SUNDERLAND 1953 - 1959 MANAGER 1972 (Caretaker) & 1978 - 1979 193 LEAGUE APPEARANCES, 23 LEAGUE GOALSENGLAND INTERNATIONAL 19525 X CAPS, 3 X GOALS BILLY WAS BORN IN BRADFORD ON 20th MARCH 1925. HE SIGNED FOR BRADFORD PARK AVENUE IN 1946, THEN BURNLEY IN 1951 BEFORE JOINING SUNDERLAND IN 1953, MAKING 193 LEAGUE APPEARANCES AND SCORING 23 LEAGUE GOALS. HE LATER PLAYED FOR WISBECH TOWN. VERY SADLY BILLY PASSED AWAY ON 21st JANUARY 2008.RARE ORIGINAL HAND SIGNED NEWSPAPER CUTTINGSIGNATURE ON NEWSPAPER CUTTING IS GOOD. This Newspaper Cutting has come from my Collection and I have mounted it onto Card. Billy has Hand Signed this in Blue Ink and it was Signed at the time. A Good Prominent Signature that looks better than the Scan suggests. Red Colouring has been added to the Newspaper Cutting. This would look Excellent if Framed. Very sadly Billy passed away on 21st January 2008. If it is just an Autograph or the Picture is small then I have mounted it on a Crested Card and it comes with a Free player glossary and a Free picture if I have one available for that particular player.
