She identifies the book as a ‘recently published anthology of the peace movement in the 1980’s, culled from the best of Nuclear Time’s articles.’ Book is in Very Good condition with some minor, expected shelf wear, binding is tight & secure, notation on inside first page by the owner detailing the gift reception from the editor. Otherwise, clean with no writing, outside show some edge color aging. Between Fear & Hope compiled data from Nuclear Times magazine with a push towards historical documentation and a focus on America’s involvement in nuclear arms build-up. The magazine claimed to be the first of its kind, devoted exclusively to reporting on the grass-roots disarmament movement. It concentrated on providing both in-depth and independent coverage of the personalities, events and issues comprising the growing anti-nuclear weapons movement.Articles in the initial issue included a report on the status of nuclear freeze referendums, an opinion column, an essay on 'Bringing the Bomb Home' and a calendar of upcoming anti-nuclear activities throughout the country. The magazine closed after a decade of publishing.
