Description: Purchased this from a second hand wedding kimono shop when I was on the Royal National Theatre's 'Late Shakespeare's' tour to Tokyo in 1988. Is been stored in a trunk with cedar planks since then. The embroidery is stunning. It was so gorgeous that I thought I would one day mount it as wall art. I then married an artist and now our wall are full of her art, so I am parting with it for a loving home where its beauty will be shown off. Im not sure about the materials. The lining seems traditional silk but the outside has a slightly wrinkly texture and the whole thing seems padded by multiple layers.
