Description: These bat houses are handmade to order in my workshop using all locally sourced cedar wood. The wood comes from the surrounding Hill Country here in Texas. The wood is sanded and has a coat of finish applied to help hold the natural color longer. No box is made the same, live edge wood and different wood patterns make for a "unique one of a kind" very time. Dimensions can very slightly based on random wood used. There are three slots (chambers) with 3/4" spacing, inside to hold the maximum amount of bats. The smaller Mexican Freetail Bats love these boxes!Grab and Crawl slats/cuts are on the inside back panel to help the bats get up to the ceiling. The inner top area is open so they can move around and cuddle. This box is heavy, it's NOT made from particle board but solid cedar. The bat image on the front face is CNC routed into the wood and painted. Rustic burning of the wood is included! I've included pilot holes on the top back of the box as well as the bottom for easy mounting to the side of a house, barn or shed,,, or even a post. I've had a handful of these boxes in use at home since 2007. Every spring the bats know they are here and keep coming back. Please consider buying a bat box from this old retired dude who enjoys crafting them as well as seeing pictures from folks who've purchased and how creative they've been mounting them. These can be shipped, or local pickup in Driftwood, Texas.
