Description: Here is a set of six Regency classical mahogany and ebonized dining chairs from Baker Furniture’s top of the line Stately Homes collection. Originally priced at over $3,000 each (in the 1990’s!), these are the ultimate in quality. The dark mahogany chairs have ebonized recesses, but the scrolled uprights with compound curves (similar to a violin neck) really show why these were such expensive and exquisite chairs. The fabric is a rich gold striped velvet with lots of life in it. Dimensions: W.20 D.21.75 H.36. These chairs have recently been restored, but not refinished. All chips and rubs have been filled or touched up, loose legs have been reglued, and the gold velvet upholstery has been cleaned. However, there still remains signs of use from their previous life.
