Description: Badcat LP Standard. These are the best Chinese-made replicas on the market. This particular example is finished in tobacco sunburst with a satin nitro finish. One piece mahogany body, solid flamed maple cap, and a one piece neck. Has cream binding with fret nibs. Real mother of pearl trapezoids. Fretwork is excellent, guitar has low action. I have replaced the tuners with legit locking Grovers, and while there are still screw holes and indentations present from the original tuners the guitar is 100% stable and is difficult to get out of tune. I have also replaced the bridge and tailpiece with locking Tonepros units, adding to the sustain and tuning stability. The pickups and electronics are original, and despite being slightly microphonic (like real PAFs) the pickups are faithful recreations of PAFs. The aftermarket tuners and bridge/tailpiece are nickel. This guitar is not weight relieved, so it’s a bit heavy… my guess is it weighs right around 10 pounds. If you’re looking for a well-built copy, this is your guitar. Stay away from the AliExpress specials, they are garbage. I bought this direct from the factory for 350, and spent 200 on tuners/bridge. I’m losing money here, but it’s gotta go. I would keep it, but I need the funds as I’m having a guitar custom built for me. No case, guitar ships in original styrofoam box.
