The outer box has been opened (it's possible the tape just dried out and it was never previously opened) and the interior plastic insert remains factory taped on both sides. There is a loose black piece (appears to be a ladder) inside the plastic. We're not sure if that's just an accessory or if it came off the engine or tender, but the interior plastic insert is factory sealed so the train has not been handled. Box has minor shelf wear.
