Vinyl Record Grading: *The condition of the vinyl is located in the item specifics * Mint (M) Unlikely to be graded here but if I have Mint records more than likely it’ll be sealed new with absolutely no issues. Near Mint (NM) Looks as if just came from the record store and was open for the first time. Possibly played a few times if ever. May have a few small visible flaws. Excellent (EX) These records will show faint signs of wear such as light scratches, blemishes, scuffs. However the marks are superficial and should not affect the quality of the sound. Minimum surface noise, the jacket may have the following: light ring wear, corner wear, stickers, writing like names or initials. Very Good Plus (VG+) Signs of wear, light scuffs or scratches may be present but should not affect playback significantly. Jacket may have the following: Ring wear, shelf wear, seam splits, writing, creases, some discoloration, names and often stickers and notch or corner cuts. Very Good (VG) These records show more obvious signs of wear. Record has surface noise that is noticeable in some spots but perhaps is quite and clean in other spots, Clicks and pops may be heard specially during playing time, some of the scratches may be felt with your fingernail. The jacket can have more pronounced ring wear, shelf storage wear, stickers, marks, stains, seam splits in any of the three sides but still fairly intact. Also writing cuts and discoloration. Good Plus (G+) Significant and obvious signs of wear including surface noise throughout, audible scratches witch cause moderate clicks, pops, and crackle but no skips or repeated grooves. Jacket may have significant ring wear, stains, and discoloration including seam splits, writing, names, initials, chunks of jacket may be missing. (Please look at the pictures closely) Good (G) Often times this records have major significant signs of wear. Significant surface noise with heavy amounts of scratches and scuffs and often times missing or marked-up inner sleeve. (Please check the pictures very closely) Worn (W) Often times records that have severe issues and normally used as of display piece or for display purposes. (Please check the pictures very closely, won’t recommend playing this type of records) 100% of my records are carefully inspected but often times we makes mistakes on the grading and we sincerely apologize if we have done that. Please contact us for any questions or to give us some tips on records grading. More than 50% of my records go through my ultrasonic cleaning machine to help soothing the surface noise, clicks and pops. The other 50% are mostly records that don’t need ultrasonic cleaning because of the grading. Also we try to tape or glue some of the records jackets that needs it.
