Description: Austrian Pitcher Beehive mark bold colors most probably a Wahliss/Fischer circa 1890 -1910. This is a colorful art vase with the Vienna blue beehive mark. It has a nice shape and is decorated with green, yellow, and red colors and with gold accents. It is marked on the bottom. All 'beehive' marks are ambiguous and problematic because over the years many European porcelain manufacturers 'borrowed' it or invented their own variation, thus making identification very difficult. In 1902, Alexandra Porcelain Works Ernst Wahliss in Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia also bought molds from Imperial and Royal factory and began making reproductions, which also are clearly marked. The Wahliss factory produced very high quality innovative pieces, and many are in this Teplitz style. Bohemian factories that used the mark are: Alexandra Porcelain Works Ernst Wahliss (Turn-Teplitz/Trnovany), B Bloch & Co (Dubi/Eichwald) and Fischer, as well as others. I have seen several Fischer & Mieg Pitchers in a similar style as this pitcher, very colorful with Teplitz- Persian design, and the blue beehive mark. Description: This pitcher is beautifully painted and gilded with a colorful design of flowers on a striking background. This decoration is very rich and elegantly gilded. Asian inspired floral patterns on a Canary Yellow ground. Accented with three panels of water-lillies on a black ground. Every element (stems, leaves, flowers) outlined in gold. Size: 7" Tall (to top of spout); 5 3/4" Long (front to back of handle); 4 3/4" Wide. This is a nice heavy pitcher. Beautiful and Interesting piece for Porcelain Lovers Date: From research it appears to be circa 1890-1910Condition: As Seen in the Photo, there is a repair on the bottom where a broken piece was repaired . Some hairline cracks appear around this repair and show through to the interior, but the pitcher is sound. No Other Cracks, Chips, Stains, Repairs, or Crazing.
