Description: 1962 Austin Cox mid-century aluminum chess set by Alcoa with Tomokazu maple board.Very good to excellent condition.The pieces are made of milled aluminum, the black side is partially anodized with a natural front finish and white is natural aluminum bar. Each piece is stamped 'Austin Enterprises 1962,' and were initially given out to VIP customers as gifts when released in 1962 by Alcoa. There are some light scratches, no dents or damage/defects - see photos. The Tomolazu board has minimal shelf wear/some light scuffing - see photos, in very good to excellent condition. Chess pieces (board,) are individually wrapped and placed in nondescript box, there is no original box/casing.
