Description: Augusta National MASTERS Tournament 1978 Participant Golf Umbrella 45" Canopy Historic PGA Tour Treasures from Saturday's Toys presents... an original golf treasure from the Augusta National Masters Golf Tournament in 1978 (August 6 - 9, 1978). The classic oversized green umbrella was presented exclusively to participating golfers at the 1978 event (as referenced on the card that details the gift for each participant) Designed by Hans-Jordan Company ("The Whaler") in 1978. Oversized umbrella has an extra large canopy by Hans-Jordan Co.; with umbrella named as "Whaler"; 100% Nylon Taffeta; fabric by Herbert Rice Fabrics (New York, NY) measuring 45"; featured a 36" fiberglass shaft with white "bicycle grip" handle and chrome finial on outside of umbrella. Includes matching cover with snap fastener for protecting the umbrella while in storage. The 1978 Masters Tournament was won by Gary Player. There was a three-way tie for 2nd place.
