Description: WOW LOOK AT THIS INCREDIBLE FIND! Barrel stamps were and still are used today to imprint Manufacturer markings and info into steel on barrels. These are used in a large press with heavy pressure applied. The barrel is then rolled under to barrel stamp leaving an impression into the barrel metal. Marlin Manufactured the Marlin Model 336ER for only 3 years from 1983-1986 and was chambered in .356 Winchester and .307 Winchester. Although the model 336ER was originally advertised as being chambered in .307 Winchester, Possibly only (3) or very very few were ever made as a Prototype Only and never released to the public. This example is very likely to be the ONLY barrel stamp EVER to be produced in .307 Winchester. You do not want to miss the opportunity to own this fine Extremely Rare piece of Marlin history.
