Offered for sale is a not easy to find Atlas #2001727-2 "O" Scale Trainman Chessie System (Three Rail) Bay Window Caboose which was produced in 2014. It is in Factory New/Brand New condition: all original and unused, but it may have been test run at the factory. THE CONDITION OF THIS CABOOSE IS BASED ON APPEARANCE ONLY, AND IT WAS NOT TESTED FOR OPERATING PERFORMANCE. This attractive Chessie System Caboose has a silver roof, a dark red body, silver car ends with yellow ladders, perfect white lettering, and clean, crisp, realistic Chessie System and B&O logos and markings. It is about 10.5 inches long, and it comes with interior illumination with an on/off switch under the chassis, an accurate and colorful paint scheme, die-cast metal couplers, friction bearing caboose trucks and with weighted, detailed underframes. It also comes with an aged and worn, but clean and complete, original Atlas window box. The box shows wear on the corners, the box seams, the end flaps and most of the box panels, and there is some residue from an old store sticker on the front box panel, but otherwise it is a good, whole box. The plastic insert (which holds the caboose) has a repaired crack at the bottom left corner which can be seen in photo #4. This sharp-looking and one year only Atlas "O" Scale Chessie System (Three Rail) Bay Window Caboose would be a perfect match with any Chessie or B&O engine, and it would certainly be a very welcome addition to any collection or operating railroad!
