Atlas 15" Drill Press Quill Guard Dust Cover

Description: This item is one Quill Cover. Made of gray ABS plastic as shown on very top of sample drill press in photo 1. Drill press, chrome cover, Kennedy toolbox, belt guard or any other part of the drill press or any other background objects are photographic props and not included in this sale. Photo 3 shows two views of the single cover you are buying. The middle part in photo 3 is a factory original part and is not for sale or included. I show it so you can see my part matches for and design. Complete your drill press! Nearly all of the classic 15" Atlas drill press's out there are missing this dust/dirt cover. I lucked into one and have as near a reproduction in ABS plastic as possible. The hole in the top of your front guard should be 1.750" ( 1-3/4") for this cover to fit. It may fit other sizes of Atlas or other brands of drill presses. However I do not own those to measure. If your front pulley/belt guard has been painted many times, the hole could be filled with layers of paint, you may need to scrape some out to get a proper "smooth but snug" fit. The part should slip in with light pressure. Do not strike with any object. This item is made from ABS by additive manufacturing process in my home workshop. These are made one at a time by me on gear I maintain. ABS will not melt or get soft in a hot garage. Of course we'd all like an original chromed cast part but there are not enough of them to go around. Feel free to paint to suit. Red would look good matching the Atlas label or whatever color matches your machine. It's printed in Gray/Silver ABS to minimize "standing out" and should be pleasing as is. 1) Your machine MUST have a belt/pulley guard with a 1.750" (1 3/4") bore. 2) Maximum height of quill above cover seat is 4 1/8". (My 15" stands about 3.800" above the cover seat) 3) Cleaning paint out of your cover where this fits may be required. 4) If you have something different ??? Please let me know. Particularly if you have a sample. ;-) I would be happy to construct these for other vintage drill presses. This item includes: 1 ABS gray/silver quill cover.
