Description: Definitely vintage and perhaps antique. This Sallan presentation ring box with gold colored painted accents belonged to either my grandmother (married 1922) or great-grandmother (married 1898). Sallan jewelers had several locations at various times in Detroit. Sallan jewelers had a building erected in 1915 at 15 Gratiot. They also moved into another Detroit building at 205 (renumbered address 1281) Woodward in 1933. They had various locations in other Michigan cities as well. This is a bakelite book-style presentation ring box as shown in the photos. Measures 1.5" wide x 1.25" tall x almost 3/4" deep.
