Description: This is an original Art Nouveau figurine of a cat grooming itself. Porcelain, white, glazed and painted with pastel tones. NOTE: There is a chip to the right ear of the cat and a much smaller chip on the left ear. Neither are particularly visible when viewing the figure straight on. This item was purchased at auction for $250 (see second photo). The bottom side reveals a Metzler & Ortloff manufacturer's mark with impressed model number 2451/2. Design by Paul Zeiller (1880-1915). Height is 12.3 cm/4.84 inches tall.
